There was a major miscommunication about how and when certain things were priced in the tender. Hopefully it has been sorted out and we have settled on a price. Not sure though... Left on good terms and just waiting to get confirmation on the FINAL price so we can arrange to sign next week!!! BUT .... now I have some even better news!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH just met with Zen and exchanged signed tenders!! They agreed to the final price we proposed (phew!) and all is good with the world Which also means we are about to start watching the money flow out, but such is the way. We are paying more upfront - around 8% rather than the usual 5% - but that was part of the deal. So right now I am a very happy (albeit somewhat tired, and still a little nervous that something else might go wrong....) little vegemite. Current plan is for 9 Jan start (first up with demolition), and lots of detail before then to get on to. But right now I am going to have a mini first step celebration! I am thinking of going out to Glendenning on Sunday to look at the carpet, tiles etc. Haven't spoken to Andrew yet but are you interested in coming out this weekend? Now that your land is registered (woohoo!!), what is the next step for you? Council approval? Yes, next step for us council approval, hopefully plans will be submitted this week Re: SunshineT's Build: just signed our life away!!!!!!!!! 593Sep 27, 2011 4:40 pm Way to go Sunshine....congrats The real fun begins now!!!!, don't be overwelmed with all the choices you need to make, that's part of the excitement, very very happy for you now... But please, make sure it clearly states in the contract what happens should the house not be finished ontime ( God forbid )... January is just around the corner, before you know it, you'll be seeing the house materialise infront of your eyes! And if you need any references for tile places if you decide not to go with Zen, please let me know, there's a great place at Smithfield that has heaps of good stuff at very very reasonable prices. We got our tiles from there.
