But wondering about the window coverings for then, especially for the bedroom. If you have them, what sort of coverings do you have for them?? Pictures would be great. What do you do if you leave the window open a bit , but want the blinds down? The blind coming from the top would have to go out over the window?? Thanks for reading Re: CAn I see your Tilt and Turn window covering 3Jul 18, 2011 7:56 pm Thanks for reply 4walls. Not sure how much tilt there is. Thought someone on here might already have them and be able to tell me what they did. Have window man coming tomorrow to measure up exactly all the windows and then order them. Anyone?????? Re: CAn I see your Tilt and Turn window covering 4Sep 05, 2011 10:24 pm We have been looking at Perfect Fit blinds, which are specifically designed for tilt and turn windows. They're a standard commodity over in the UK, but only one company does them in Australia, and they are charging accordingly. Companies in the UK are happy to manufacture and send them over here - we have some samples from directorderblinds.co.uk and there are dozens of similar companies. We are looking at covering 8 double glazed tilt and turn windows for around $1300 - thanks for the strong Aussie dollar. The quote from the only Australian distributer was just ridiculous. We've just got to bite the bullet and actually decide on a colour and order them....Suppose I'd better look at the customs and duty side of things as well. These blinds are installed at the top of the opening windows frame and the blind runs down along two plastic channels to effectively block out light and keep the blind flat against the window even when open. These are specifically targeted at Tilt and Turn windows. I have them on my white uPVC double glazing and the have worked a treat, not much to go wrong with them either. His prices were great also. Google his site for some pictures.
