I remember it being really cheap. The hallway tilling as per the Waldorf design was around $3.5K which was a bit costly but this was what we wanted and loved the look. We are doing it in porcelin also but not the high quailty porcelin as per the Waldorf as this was more costly ($6K). We chose porcelin tiles below this category and found similar colours which was great.
Hi Eli-Kay, From memory, the columns were $101 each. Wow, your hallway tiling sounds nice. Great that your consultant recommended you the cheaper alternative. Do post a pic once its all tiled up... =)
Thanks JPZ, I remember it being really cheap to do the columns, it was worth the money. Yes with the porcelin tiles in the Waldorf they were so expensive. It was great they carried a cheaper range of porcelin tiles so we also put porcelin tiles in the wet areas too. Just like to let you all know that slab is done, frame is up. See my blog for pics. All is looking good. So I need a demo crew to clean up the brickwork, tiles and remove the foundations and strip footings. Can anyone recommend a crew they have used? location is eastern melbourne. Appreciate your help Hey Alpal, We're in the Eastern suburbs and used Dig Dig Demolition. Bryn was really good. Came out at a time suitable for both of us to quote and they got to doing the works pretty quickly. I am wondering what colour or treatment you will be giving your alfresco ceiling? I am thinking that if it is left in the standard white, every little insect / bug / cobweb will be highly visible. Our alfresco walls will be rendered in Dulux's 'Time Capsule', and our inside wall colour will be Wattyl 'New Pearly Gates'. I was thinking of painting the alfresco ceiling in New Pearly Gates, there will is also be a silver fan and 4 downlights. What do you think?
