Wet rooms are cool, though not very popular over here. We are having a wet area in our bathroom. The area containing the shower/bath and the area containing the vanity is divided by a shower screen + door. We didnt want to spend an extra $2k on a reflux valve, hence the hob. The little wall next to the vanity is there because my OH doesnt like having the mirror inline with the wall tiles. If you want any more details the rest of the plans are here Fingers crossed it will work out and there wont be too much overspray on the bath. P.S here is a link to an idea book that I created on houzz with some pictures of wet areas with baths and showers. One doesnt technically fall into this category, but its not hard to imagine how it would look houzz idea book Re: Small Bathroom.... Ideas needed! 5Oct 01, 2011 1:28 pm If you really want the idea of a separate shower and bath I think the wet room is a great idea of a stylish space that's still relatively practical. I have to say I prefer this idea as it gives you a decent sizes shower instead of one of those very small corner ones, which usually result in bumping elbows and not being able to bend over at all! The block is a great layout, and probably a very similar size. Love your design alt0160! Ideas needed! 7Oct 24, 2011 1:51 pm Any advice need to take into account the age of the house, foundation type, where the current plumbing runs, budget and the overall current design of the room. Can you post a layout of the room Oggy? You say there is an attached Picture But I can't see it Re: Small Bathroom.... Ideas needed! 8Oct 25, 2011 11:19 am I know you're not in favour of the bath/shower combined but in our ensuite we have a sunken corner bath and then a shower going into it, makes the area feel huge as the bathtub is probably about half way into the floor. Otherwise we have some friends who have put in I think it's called a Japanese bath (shorter than a usual bath tub) as they have kids but they don't really take baths themselves. Agree with the mirrors in bathrooms making space feel larger, our main bathroom has a mirror going the whole length. Hi all, We are looking to build a new two storey house in western Sydney.
