Some nice trees and some mulch make a massive difference. Get a pressure sprayer and clean the mould of the driveways and paths etc. New carpets if the old ones are old. And some tasteful, earthy-coloured feature walls make a huge difference. If you are not looking at selling asap, the best "saving" is to pay off the loan. Every dollar you put in you save $2. Nothing else will produce better returns. On a block that big you could section it off with it's own yard. If you keep it you can rent out the granny flat and get $200? a week.
