Thanks for the link. I read alot of good benefits on having hebel walls but they seem bias as they are companies specialising in hebel. Im building 2 side by side townhouse with a party wall in between and i just want to be certain that hebel offers better sound proofing than bricks. Main reasons I have been swayed: - Noise transfer is most critical where there is no air gap. The double brick walls may well be designed for air gap but sloppy brick layers can create a mess within the wall with their mud minimising the effect - If the Hebel wall is built to the max specifciation with soundchek plaster and good insulation the dba rating seems better.
