That worries me somewhat seeing we may not have fences for 3 weeks after moving in ! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2472Jul 30, 2011 9:43 pm Just don't leave anything of value outside until your boundries are secured. One heard a loud car outside. Had a look through the window and noticed a few hooligans on their alfresco. Turned the light on, scared them off but took their bonzai tree in the process. Another had building materials knocked off. Like I said, petty theft but we dont need that sort of crap around here. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2473Jul 30, 2011 9:45 pm I've got another suggestion.... Cull the crows. They think they own the area. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2474Jul 30, 2011 9:51 pm Not good, thanks for the advise. I herd the other day all the windows for a R house down the road got taken one night. Brick layers turned up to lay bricks and couldnt start due to no windows left in the frames. My alfresco is very open too being on a corner block Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2475Jul 30, 2011 9:55 pm The first house I mentioned is on a corner... I also heard someone had their front door pinched... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Australian Raven (Corvus coronoides) by Mecha-Wombat, on Flickr the white ring around the eye is the giveaway the only way to move them on is to create habitat for other species and well landscaping budgets are eaten up by build costs and there are not many interesting landscapes to entice birds into let alone trees in the side streets only along Maddecks and Christensen are trees planted and they are really not great in attracting the more colourful birds. especially as it is a singular species of tree Really sad but I can see my landscaping budget dwindling with the flooring Yes I am a Tree hugging hippie, who has been spoiled by lots of wildlife visit his garden I went outside once. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2477Jul 30, 2011 11:03 pm Well I take back that suggestion... I thought they were just crows trauling after builders rubbish and scraps left on sites. I'll have to take a closer look next time I see them perched on my site fence. ps. what flooring are you doing again? It was a timber of sorts if I remember correctly? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2480Jul 31, 2011 5:33 pm We really need a tap installed near the BBQ area at the park. Council tell me there are NO pipes whatsoever in the park area to run water. Last time I spoke to them they said they were deciding whether it was financially viable to run water to the park. I think we need to push them. Yes we now have lids after I spent 6 months on the phone to Gf and council but they are no good if there is only the one bin in the main BBQ area. We definitely need at least another bin. MW - 9k is an awful lot for carpet. If you are doing it after handover like we did, Check out Carpet Call they have deals on at the moment. We paid $2k for carpet to 4 bedrooms with upgraded extra thick underlay as they had a special deal on. I didn't qualify for the survey as they were after teenage kids and mine are too small. Bummer - $80 wouldve been nice! Hi, we live in an area where the black soil is prone to a lot of movement.
