BTW 2, what is that shallow orangey cable on 1st pic going along the fence and then turning into your house? And that bright orange conduit at the house wall? Ahhh, too many questions ... ![]() ![]() ![]() Have a great Sunday ![]() My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... I am very happy with the white timber, I love the feeling it gives a soft restful aaahhhhhh. Even the installer said hel liked them so much he was now re-thinking his own house ![]() ![]() Thanks suh, yes the plumbers are the neatest plumbers I have ever seen. They are known to us through my stepson so maybe they are being extra neat but I don't think so, I think that is just the way they work. It's such a lovely change ![]() Lex, drainage, well, you might (or might not) remember the $20 grand pit on the other side of the house (yes I did say GRAND), I remember justcamping calls it a "trip to Paris" (referring to the cost) as she had to have one also. So I guess you could say this little exercise is a "trip to Fiji, maybe New Zealand?" ![]() They did cut the block quite low, lower than anticipated I think ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: themax build - little update! 1751Jul 17, 2011 1:34 pm Quote: Southies I am in raptures about the blinds and the installation, thank you so much for the referral. If a cut is not possible, then the only option is the ret. wall I think. Are you going to discharge the drainage pipes from behind the wall into the 'ticket to Paris' ?? (since you obviously can't go uphill to the street stormwater) My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... What is the feature that you will have, a mini garden bed?? Which blocks are you using? ![]() I can't believe how much higher that other yard is ![]() Oh, and where is the ag pipe, is it already squeezed in along the fence? Ummhh... I meant that the ag pipe (which I presume will be installed behind this little wall) will need to go to a "discharge point" and I thought the discharge point be the "ticket to Paris" thingy (can't remember how it's actually called, onsite detention maybe?! ![]() My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: themax build - little update! 1755Jul 25, 2011 1:29 pm Lex the ag pipe is already under the ground in the original photo up the top of the page is the pit and trench for it. There is an absorption pit under the ground in the big hole, and it will absorb the excess moisture. That is the second pit, the rip to Fiji as opposed to the original Trip to Paris that was installed by our builders at time of building over the other side of the yard. They are the click in retaining wall blocks used commonly everywhere in Fudge colour (but have faded beyond belief ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: themax build - little update! 1756Jul 25, 2011 8:25 pm themax looks like you are powering on and making great progress.
