I think when you are in the colour appointment everything is overwhelming and sometimes its easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. I did exactly what you did ... ignored what the consultant said and went with my gut instinct. YOur exterior colours look awesome so do you plan on putting plantation shutters in those 3 master bedroom windows? We are thinking about putting in white ones.
