I had a look on your blog and my son thought i was looking at photos of our place.. our builds are very similar and are like twins on the block Hi Trudy, not long now dear it'll be worth the wait.. Can you believe our place was planned for lock up at the end of last week... thats six weeks The Brickies were delayed and wont be in till next week though, so hopefully lock up by the end of this week. Gonna put a link on my signature so you guys can have a peek.. Cheers G Ger Knockdown and building Henley's Talise Q2 92Jul 06, 2011 8:08 pm Despite the rain....we have tiles! Too dark to see the colour, but the ironstone gutters are looking very blue. Chatz Re: Knockdown and building Henley's Talise Q2 95Jul 14, 2011 11:21 pm Hey guys. Great to hear your projects r moving along well. Chatz your talise is looking amazing. Hubby called HH and shared with them our frustrations. Our administrator left HH without telling us and nobody picked up our case... We basically had to call them and ask what was going on. They have now agreed to contact us once a week. The end of our contract is feb 25th so all I can say is, we better have a house by then! Drove past the block today. There are white stump kind of things poking out of the ground but of course we have no idea what they r coz our SS doesn't communicate with us. Still no slab.... A bit over it really. Trudy Re: Knockdown and building Henley's Talise Q2 96Jul 16, 2011 1:32 pm I don't know about everyone else, but we found selecting colours to be very stressful and we have been hoping ever since that we made good choices. We went against the recommendation of the colour consultant with the roof tiles, guttering, bricks and window frame combinations. She was pushing us to use Monument (grey) rather than Ironstone (blue/grey), but we insisted. So the moment of truth arrives and I have to say we are very happy! In fact he might have to stop soon if he can't get another delivery of bricks soon. He will talk to the site supervisor to see what can be done. Chatz Re: Knockdown and building Henley's Talise Q2 97Jul 16, 2011 4:27 pm hey chatz, looking good! personally, i think the gutters look great. I think when you are in the colour appointment everything is overwhelming and sometimes its easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. I did exactly what you did ... ignored what the consultant said and went with my gut instinct. YOur exterior colours look awesome so do you plan on putting plantation shutters in those 3 master bedroom windows? We are thinking about putting in white ones. Trudy Re: Knockdown and building Henley's Talise Q2 98Jul 16, 2011 4:50 pm Trudy, Yes, given the rest of the colours are quite dark, white plantation shutters should look really good. Chatz Re: Knockdown and building Henley's Talise Q2 100Jul 17, 2011 9:15 am Great choices by the way, the bricks will have wee charcoal and blueish colouring, its going to look ( and all ready does ) look great.. Is there any render at the front? Its amazing how your build looks so like ours, i cant get over that... and as we started first your the copy CHATZ... ha ha If you pardon the pun... i crack myself up sometimes By the way, there is a store in Braeside that makes plantation shutter Kits !!!, they are pretty well priced, only thing is you have to paint or stain yourself and assemble. Were doing the same at the front of our house, we have those long full length skinny windows at each side so should look pretty good in those and we think if your doing one at the front, you have too do them all. Well our brickies have'nt returned yet, and the inside is all plastered.. Cheers G Ger multiple occ properties are always billed by trades at a premium, rarely per sqm for the lot.
