I thought it would have been for the oven. Why isolate the rangehood? It is for safety reasons so kids dont turn it on but if they were tall enough to reach then they would be old enough to know. And even if they did turn it on, what harm can a rangehood do? You should actually have an isolater for the oven if anything. We didn't have one so added it. But it comes as an extra swith on the splashback powerpoint, not a whole new separate switch. So it doesn't affect our upgraded GPO's and switches. Hi Dave, your probably right - I thought he said something about the rangehood, anyway whatever it is it wasn't on the plan and we sure didn't expect they'd fit a standard switch alongside the ones we'd picked. Unfortunately a lot of stuff wasn't pointed out or obvious to us when we did the electricals. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2233Jun 26, 2011 10:35 am Waynee Thanks gazmam Where hoping things pickup a bit as it was very quiet at the house all last week. Noticed the scaffolding went up next door yesterday and two of the legs are right where the driveway has to be dug, don't know how they get around that !. We have 2 Terrells inspections also, haven't seen any report from the first one yet, did you receive this prior to completion ? Noticed the walk in wardrobes, pantry, linen shelving was done last week, hopefully floor tile this week, all bathrooms are finished, they also did a clean through last week, would love to know how far off we are ............. :L Hi Waynee, We only had the one report done by Tyrells - they said in the beginning that if we only planned on having one report then the most critical one was when the house had reached the frame complete stage and the bricks had been tied to the frame after the builder had "straightened" the frame, apparently most of the integrity issues can be identified then. From what I understand all houses have a frame straightening stage because all of the frames these days are prefabricated off site. We got that report within 2 days of the inspection and passed it to the builder. Good luck with your run to the finish line...no doubt we'll catch up as neighbours. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2234Jun 26, 2011 11:22 am infocus Who said the marina was approved? One of the builders we saw yesterday, not sure how reliable that info is though. Was hoping someone here would know more about it. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2235Jun 26, 2011 11:47 am Regarding the Marina ..... DA is still under processed.

Unfortunately a lot of stuff wasn't pointed out or obvious to us when we did the electricals. Gaz, we have this switch and yes it is for the oven - but our switch is actually just an extra button on the power point, not a completely new switch... so it's in our nice stainless steel look switch. We have built the same house, so I would raise it with them and get them to rectify it, if they can't put it all on the one switch, make them match it with the one you paid extra for!!! If you ever want to come through and look through our place to compare things like that, you know you and Sue are always welcome. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2240Jun 26, 2011 9:05 pm Dont want to sound like a stick in the mud but the Flower Power proposal might sound good but most likely just mean there will be a large concrete/bitumen pad doing nothing 5 days of the week Oh so lovely to look at I went outside once.
