Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Roeberry in Arena - and now we wait... 62Jun 23, 2011 7:45 pm Arena537 It's now 4 weeks since our pci. Had a meeting on site with the SS and construction manager today and surprise surprise they have actually done a fair bit!! Pretty much the whole house has 4 coats of paint, holes are filled, site cleaned, drainage dug. Looking good! Brickie even arrived while we were there to start pulling down and redoing some of the wonky brickwork plus patching under the window sills. They seem to be in a hurry to get rid of us now so agreed to rectify everything left on our list. They are calling us next week to arrange a settlement day. Whoop!! Great news for you! Very happy for you!! Re: Our Roeberry in Officer - and now we wait... 64May 17, 2012 1:46 pm Hi Arena537 Hope your build went well. We are also building in Officer - Aspect estate. Just foudn this forum and doing a bit of research on the area. So many things on here I did not know. Have you heard any more about the duplication of Cardina Road? I saw the new stationed opened recently which is great for the area! Re: Our Roeberry in Officer - and now we wait... 65May 18, 2012 10:38 am Hi Aspect, The changes down our way have been unbelievable,, it seems they are starting something new each week. The station looks great, pity no one appears to be using it yet, the carpark has been empty whenever I drive past. I guess that will change when there are an extra 6000 houses! Woolworths are certainly getting in early, I can see TWO new stores being built from my front door! The duplication of Cardinia road is due anytime now, I'm looking forward to the new exit out of Arena, plus a safe place to cross on foot - its pretty hairy getting to lakeside at the moment. Our build...well we have been in 8 months, still waiting on a list of fixes, including repainting the whole house. And now we hear that the builder is pulling up stumps and returning to their NSW base - leaving all of us still building or enduring maintenance to fight it out interstate. Best of luck with your new home aspect, you have picked a great new area! Do you have a builder in mind or any plans yet, we would love to see them?
