Fantastic job ~ I had missed the front deck too, which looks awesome. Love the pavers you've used too ~ fantastic idea. It looks really good painted doesn't it? Hi Mclaren - thanks! we are pretty chuffed that two computer nerds have managed to do so much stuff! Mind you Google has helped a fair bit! The garage floor paint has peeled terribly where the cars are parked! It is much worse on the side where hubby parks. I think his wheels get hotter as he travels more during the day than I do. The rest of it still looks good, and I think I might just try repaint it when summer gets closer. vanilla tree Hi netadelle, lovely to see you pop in ... what's not to love with your place! Fantastic job ~ I had missed the front deck too, which looks awesome. Love the pavers you've used too ~ fantastic idea. Your bricks, still gorgeous! I still lurk! and pick up ideas! I am loving the front deck, can't wait till we can get some real use out of it. I am totally still loving the bricks! What paver should we pick for around the house? the one on the left or right? I rather the more 'blueish' one on the right. Re: netadelle's build- The back yard 366Jun 17, 2011 8:36 pm matt walker investigated garage floor paints and found out the best one to use on his original house build thread. maybe message him and ask what he used. You have done some great work. Love the front rocks and deck and I think they look awesome. I work at a Uni in the Earth Sciences area, so I was quite lucky and able to get one of the guys to cut the stones so that they would fit in the frames. He decided to do some tests on them and they are actually pieces of marble! Now to get hubby to hang them so I can take a picture. I also made something to go near the garage door to hang the keys and post notices so we see it before leaving each day. The bit under the material is cork. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee153/netadelle/Build/Decorating/IMG_3094.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee153/netadelle/Build/Decorating/IMG_3095.jpg I love those hooks. Now I just need to find a doona cover to go with it... Gorgeous artwork! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
