What he is trying to get accross is he is annoyed because Porter Davis didn't communicate this and I am 100% behind him. To date I have seen nothing formal come out to clients advising them of this. Humble and others shouldn't have found out by reading this forum and for Humble to be at Tender yesterday morning they should have told him about the Hawthorne bricks. He was there in their office. Don't say they didn't know. At least he could have held back on signing the tender and reviewed his situation. Someone in Porter Davis new this was happening and perhaps didn't want to say anything to their staff members at this stage. It's not right. All volume builder's are no different to PD, but what happened to the customer is always right. Correct.. Yep... and the choice is to keep going around in circles being angry.... or just move on. Which is all any of us is trying to say..... for about 4 pages. I'd just move on and not give myself an ulcer or high blood pressure over something I couldn't change. But that's me. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Porter Davis homes 2207Jun 07, 2011 3:26 pm Hear, hear Eli. Well said. I love to show off our new place - (relatively new now that the kids have dented the plasterboards), at the same time my leaky porch defies logic. Our friends love the plan and the house that has been built, but the experience is marred as they get drenched by the rain. There's a great wow factor there for PD, and yet a spoiler too. tstr1a, thanks for asking. I just found the last two missing pieces of doccos - the building permit and insurance, complaint papers are off tomorrow. With two small kids, working full time and managing home, I've been a bit stretched. Consumer Affairs first, VCAT next, and then maybe the ACCC for showing up a porch in a default plan when one has to pay an additional amount to get it. Not here to bash anyone, but to give credit when credit is due, and sometimes yes, to vent. Joles, I'm actually just trying to get to the GOLD stars. I only have two stars and am classified as a junior member ...lol I think it's good just to have a vent and let out your frustrations. It's been medicinal and it's nice that people on this site can understand the frustrations but also saying to move on (in a respectible way) and I think it's the right attitude but sometimes you just need PD to know what this is causing (as they do read this forum) and hopefully they can pull some strings and compromise with us and our needs instead of us always compromising with them. eg. in this particular case, offer more brick choices and/or even get a contract with Boral for the Prestige range as well as having Austral Bricks. I would think they'd have nothing to lose in doing this. Eli, ill take some pics.. Re: Porter Davis homes 2218Jun 07, 2011 4:12 pm Jewelbaby And my point is that some people are communicating this quite rudely in a very cavalier manner, as though the person with the issues is making a mountain out of a molehill, when it actual fact it can be a mountain because it can impact on many things other than just choosing a new brick. My personal opinion is you are!! I've been to tender/contract then had to change certain things that were no longer available, many of us have. You don't know me or my situation and as joles said I'm not into builder bashing!
