How? Check out http://www.greenhouse.gov.au/yourhome/t ... /index.htm for heaps of information on passive design (ways of cooling your house that don't need engines). You'll also save a packet in the long run. Re: Choosing the right air conditioning 13Apr 12, 2007 6:19 am Ah yeah, nice ideas there but even they're not suggesting that in very hot or cold climates you don't need any mechanical assiatnce. My guess is that you live in a very temperate zone, not far north Queensland, NT or Tasmania Re: Choosing the right air conditioning 14Apr 12, 2007 8:31 am Quote: But I don't think it's something we should discuss here. Why not? Oh - hang on. I'm starting to see why we're in this mess. You quickly dismiss suggestions like Elizabeth's. Call it 'pokin' the bear'. Make it entertainment. Perhaps it's denial? I just watched a DVD called 'Thank you for smoking'. In the movie the tobacco industry had a scientist that could prove anything. It was a good satire on lobbying and how a few will try to hang on to their fortunes and power, no matter what damage they do.
I also notice that the professor Quote: conceded the politics of greenhouse gas emissions meant that attention was being given to energy efficiency, which he supported. And that link to enery efficient home design - it covers all Australia - here's remote Queensland. http://www.greenhouse.gov.au/yourhome/t ... /fs74a.htm Re: Choosing the right air conditioning 17Apr 12, 2007 9:10 am Oops.
Wasn't pokin' the bear at all. It was a beehive Matt Re: Choosing the right air conditioning 19Apr 12, 2007 1:16 pm So how about the interjectors pack up and leave the building so we can focus on the original members question being
