Personally I think that style looks better without the drop. A more modern square set look seems to suit it better. Re: Dropped ceiling over kitchen 13May 23, 2011 9:54 pm I have a dropped ceiling and then another bulkhead over the cupboards. I can reach the top of them just nicely. Our ceiling is 31c, the dropped ceiling is 28c and the bulkhead over the cupboards is 2100. (excuse all the pics together, its all I have on the computer at the moment) http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q4/eliz77/kitchen.jpg Re: Dropped ceiling over kitchen 14May 23, 2011 9:56 pm Oops, you can't really see the dropped ceiling in those. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q4/eliz77/260311_0199.jpg Re: Dropped ceiling over kitchen 15May 23, 2011 10:01 pm shakyreno Looking at your cornices Joles, you've got a classic look throughout your house. I've seen a few displays with a drop ceiling with the cornice we have and I don't mind how it looks. Not something that's high on the priority list to get done anyway. I think we'll be gone from here before we get that far down the list. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Joles, your kitchen looks great but I can see that having the dropped ceiling would define that area and would look great Rizzo your kitchen is also beautiful, infact I am hoping mine will be similar I think we may pay for the dropped ceiling, we will still have 9ft ceilings in the kitchen so will have taller cabinets like Karry but with the dropped ceiling as well. We won't be having any cornices as such, as we have shadow line cornices throughout.
