Having site costs fixed is a very good thing. But ask for the soil report. It normally describe the land condition. So if it says a fill encountered then you should ask the builder what is there to avoid cracks. Re: Anyone Building In BlueStone Green, Wyndham Vale? 28May 19, 2011 4:49 pm [13k is excellent. I will try and get the report from the builder and see what the report says. What sort of things are usually done to avoid cracks by the builders? I am totally new to this world and have very limited understanding, so any help is appreciated. Thanks Re: Anyone Building In BlueStone Green, Wyndham Vale? 29May 19, 2011 5:00 pm Hi sam1ghost, Check this site: http://www.renovationrobot.com.au/foundations/housefoundations.html. Pier and Slab is what my builder is going to have. So the idea is to the piers to go down into the ground and prevent the house being slidden. I hope your land is not bad as my one Re: Anyone Building In BlueStone Green, Wyndham Vale? 30Jun 25, 2011 10:57 pm Hi all, I am new here.. I gotten a land in 22A... I called and was told that they will submitting land titles applications to council next week.. so I reckon those in 22A will be hearing from them next month. I had fixed site costs though so I don't know how bad it was.. I am stage 15 across from the big oval.. Ive seen some mighty rocks come from there; I would call them boulders! I had to pay for rock removal + piers + h class slab + cut and fill due to land conditions. it was around 22k altogether. it varies land to land. Regards Re: Anyone Building In BlueStone Green, Wyndham Vale? 38Aug 08, 2011 9:45 pm hi sam, nice to hear from 1st neighbour. we are building with PD, they haven't told us abt termite, but they are giving us "reticulated termite protection" (i dnt know any thing about it) and our lot's site cost is around $15000. we are going to sign the tender . but i'll ask them about termite. is there any other issue with the bluestone plz help me thanks Re: Anyone Building In BlueStone Green, Wyndham Vale? 39Aug 09, 2011 8:41 am sayra hi sam, nice to hear from 1st neighbour. we are building with PD, they haven't told us abt termite, but they are giving us "reticulated termite protection" (i dnt know any thing about it) and our lot's site cost is around $15000. we are going to sign the tender . but i'll ask them about termite. is there any other issue with the bluestone plz help me thanks Hi, I think $15k sounds reasonable. Is it fixed though or provisional? I haven't had any other issues so far and fingers crossed!! Regards Sam Re: Anyone Building In BlueStone Green, Wyndham Vale? 40Nov 03, 2011 8:56 am I am also building through PD drysdale 30 (+ alfresco extra) the Total Cost for my site cost was $16,000 out of which i had to pay $6000 as first $10,000 was fixed. I have the termite protection included but on a condition that it will be like 400 every year for PD guy to come around once a year to check the status and do something. My extra cost me around 3000-4000 on top of the base price , + i gone with alfresco as well. Remember to asl for re-establishment fee ( $1000) which was charged to me and was told it will refunded had there been 4 boundary pegs on the land, which were there. Currently bricklaying is happening on the site, It was class H slab that had to go after they done the soil test .... Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 24807 As title suggests, looking at using the interlocking Pentablock stacked stone products to replace failing timber retaining… 0 17849 I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 10018 |
