Not sure how it went. I got stressed at bathroom selection and we have elected to have the floor tile going up the wall. But I'm not so sure on it now. I sort of agreed just because I was stressed. TBH I wasn't that impressed with what they had on offer. Everything seemed to be very mono-chromatic. We've chosen a light porceline tile, not white, sort of Beige i guess. this will be right through the house and in the ensuite a grey-black on the floor and walls with a glass rice paper feature tile running horizontally. We also got into Hopetoun for a look and in terms of carpets I'm not impressed either. There were a couple I'd settle for, but nothing stood out. Most of the carpets had no pattern or texture to them and none at all had a fleck or colour variation. So yeah, a little disappointed in the range to choose from but I'm not sure there's anything much to do about it. On the matter of Hopetoun - did anyone select Laminex crystal gloss for the kitchen? Do you recall what it added to your budget? I was told that vinyl wrap can add $5000 to the cost, so that easy, we won't bother looking there. So while we are in thinking mode before our appt at Hopetoun if they crystalgloss is in the same order I won't bother thinking about it either. On the plus side I met a person at our estate who has just moved into her PD home and she is very happy and said her SS was great. That was nice to hear. Hey Lastone, Congrats on progressing through with colours! It is a stressful thing to go through because you want to be certain that you have the right look and all. If it helps you any, don't worry about the floor tile going on the wall too...we did that in all our ensuites upstairs (Except the master ensuite) with just a differing feature stripe on the wall. It will look fine, i'm sure. Re: the carpet choices, i too didn't think much of the choice at hopetoun and we went to the carpet court in chadstone to have a look and for some reason it seemed there was more to choose from but i could be wrong and it could just be that some of the samples were moved or looked differently in the showroom. Maybe have a look out at the carpet court in chaddy if you can get out there.
