RE: the water "situation"........if stormwater from your property is flowing onto your neighbours due to your levels or works then it is your responsibilty..HOWEVER-if it is coming from the boundary fence and/or the retaining provided by the developer, then it is the developers problem.......we are having issues with flooding here-most caused by the original development levels which Council signed off on (so it is their problem now!), but some is because our neighbours have changed the contour of their land and heavy rain is causing it to sheet onto our property..... Love t 1397Apr 26, 2011 11:13 am HillsCass No suggestions here, just lots of moral support! Your house is looking so gorgeous, I love the shelves you've put in. I can't wait to be able to put as many shelves in as I want! (stupid rental mutter mumble grumble) I can't wait for some more pictures to show off all the progress, maybe over the long weekend? Thanks Cassie.. I need many more pretty things, but then.. I don't want to clutter those shelves. Told hubby I wanted 2 loooong shelves running along the top to put in books/dvd's or more pretties and I got a "No" hehe ring09 Ho Cooped, Love your floating shelves, I think that wall looks great as it is, imo I dont think you need anything else. Your decorator pieces look great also for just what you had in the house. It's amazing what a difference a few shelves can make. (and just goes to show you dont need to spend a lot of money either). Have a great easter. Thanks Ring I am very happy with them & Dh's ability to put them up.. Hehe Hope you had a great Easter carlswil That wall looks great with the shelves. The before photo was a little bare. I started the healthy eating regime on Monday too. The pressure is on now that I've ordered my wedding dress, I've gotta make sure it's going to fit. As for noise, DF used to live on a main road near the airport. I didn't know how much I had gotten used to the noise, until I moved here. It is so quiet. Happy Easter. I hope you have a lovely weekend. Ohh.. hope you had a great Easter. Oh... goodluck with the healthy eating regime.. I found 'My Fitness Pal' app really helps alot. brb_654 LOVE the shelves....got me thinking now, might have to do something like that in my study I LOVE the ikea LACK shelves, They are awesome and well priced. I would like DH to put them up in the spare room like a book shelf. I don't know if he likes that idea too much though. pattycake4 Love the look ,if you think you have to much space could tv be moved higher[bit of a pain] Thanks the TV is certainly STUCK where it is. I would love for it to be moved maybe a foot higher but it has to stay where it is now. Something will have to fill that spot.. Mclaren Hi Tam, the shelves look good. I reckon you could do with something underneath them - say a plant in the corner to fill up some of the blank space and maybe you could have some colour behind the tv like your inspiration pic. If you don't want a feature wall perhaps you could cover a piece of wood with some fabric and put it behind the tv. Happy Easter - well done on losing all that weight - what was your secret? Thanks.. I think once little miss gets a bit bigger I might put something under them. She's a destruction queen. The weightloss was just portion control mainly and an app on my iphone to help control what was going in my mouth. Hope you had a nice Easter x RobbieC Thanks for the PM Tam!! We felt abit the same about the space around our TV but after a while we dont seem to notice. The only problem with moving the TV higher is that you will be craning your neck upwards. When the TV people originally put the TV on the wall, it was higher than where it is now and I was getting a sore neck watching TV and I couldnt even lie down on the couch and watch it it was so uncomfortable!! I love the shelves though and agree that some colour of some sort might add some depth? I love the colour idea for depth but DH is against it Boooooo What would he know huh! Deemaree Love the shelves Tam! Oh, I hope you get the water 'situation' sorted out too. Ours is from the boundary fence when it rains because of the way the developer has changed the land. Or when I leave the sprinkler on for too long.. Which of course, won't be done any more! It is such a pain either way. I understand what it would be like to have water pooling in all the time. Perhaps my neighbour should have a moat too? Re: Our Preston @ the 'Coast' - Lounge room shelves.. Love t 1398Apr 27, 2011 12:52 am Thanks the TV is certainly STUCK where it is. Hi, I just looked at first and last pgs so far....but I really like the shelves, I agree that maybe a feature colour or texture around the tv will fill the space better, like the inspiraion photo ( maybe a different colour to theirs perhaps?) Now, back to your thread! Re: Our Preston @ the 'Coast' - Lounge room shelves.. Love t 1399Apr 27, 2011 1:43 pm Thanks Pos.. Perhaps some swirly fabric! Its time to convince DH. Re: Our Preston @ the 'Coast' - Lounge room shelves.. Love t 1400Apr 27, 2011 6:22 pm Very nice Cooped!! They look great!! Perhaps a collections of vases in different heights, tones, colours etc underneath the TV so the middle section looks more balanced and then group afew on one or two of the shelves?????
