They began the lead in from the date of title (not the date of settlement), pushed things through council very quickly and the file went to the site manager within 7 days of title, and the building started within 7 days of that. Quote: Check with your land developer. You may be able to do a soil test and contour survey before the land is released. I'm pretty sure this was the case with me, both because of the speed at which the final construction plans (adjusted for the soil test results) were available after title and because I could see the drill holes on the land before it titled. However if so it was organized between my builder and my developer and the process was entirely transparent to me.
