Erect an eye-catching sign out the front.... "GRANITE BOULDERS FOR SALE" Have your number there, and be ready to do some smooth talking. You may end up getting rid of them for free or even make a profit!!! Ash. Re: Dumping on our block! 16Jun 11, 2008 12:12 pm LOL well, and update to this thread.......
We agreed to take the boulders from jewels site and then someone beat us to it sometime between Wednesday and Saturday??? Jewel rang me asking if we had grabbed them (which was fine) because they were gone, but it wasn't us???? The powers of wishful thinking- they wished them away!!! Re: Dumping on our block! 17Jun 28, 2008 7:48 pm When we were building our home, my husband arrived one afternoon to find boxes, garbage bags and other assorted crap dumped on our block. Not too bright were these dumpers, who had put personal information in their garbage (ie: bills will their names and addresses). So, my husband put all the garbage in his boot, and drove it back around to their house, and chucked in on their front lawn.
The occupants came out yelling and screaming, but pulled their heads in when they realised that the garbage was simply being returned...... you could imagine the looks on their faces. Re: Dumping on our block! 18Nov 18, 2008 11:12 am Hi Guys,
I’m sad to say that we’ve just experienced the same thing with our site. We are due to start any day and to my disgust I found a sleeping mattress and a massive boulder on our site, which seems to have magically appeared. However, the biggest issue we have now is that there are bricks which are sitting on our block of land. They belong to the block next door who are building with *enley. We informed *enley that we required the bricks to be completely removed and all they have done is moved them a metre across. Because our garage wall will be right on the boundary, our site supervisor has said they can’t start until the bricks are completely off our block. This has pushed our site start by a week now. The *enley site administrator has just given me lip service as to when it will be removed. What are we entitled to do? Can we physically remove the bricks ourselves? How annoying!! have you spoke to your actual SS to ask what he would do if the roles were reverse? might help to get an idea of what the other SS might be doing! Surely you have rights what is on YOUR land or not, and therefore h*nley surely HAS to remove it without question its YOUR block not their clients! maybe speak with your developer, they may know what rights you have. Failing that perhaps the building commission dispute place you go to when your not happy.. GOOD LUCK! Re: Dumping on our block! 20Nov 18, 2008 11:38 am This happened to us aswell, only it would simply be removed by the builder if we were about to start building as they still need to scrape the sight and get it prepared. So any rubbish goes with it. But in saying that we are not ready to build and our council fines you if you have anything rubbish that could cause fires so. The weekend just passed DH grabbed a mate and his ute and they loaded the back and did a tip run.
$50 and our time because some ars$hole$ are to lazy and stingy to do it themselves........we had kids prams and clothes and crap and pallets, a coffee table and beer bottles.....these people get tip passes for there areas. Vent over again 6 11145 Yes it had a house on it. But Melbourne water only wanted something the original size of the existing house. We managed to fit a 45sq house on. 10 33666 4 4492 |
