Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jun 08, 2008 7:23 pm ok so.....with roman blinds installed above a window frame (not inside) will it definately be ok to install a (seethru) roller blind underneath afterwards? will it always fit? also does it look strange to have different colour roman and roller on same window, light and dark Im told the darker see thru roller blinds are easier to look through but is it weird to suddenly have a dark roller blind if not much else in the room is that colour? eg if its black how much black would you need to have it look not out of place in a cream/white/grey/brown situation *eep* ( I did see lovely combo on this forum thanks white and black) Im so over window coverings Re: Window coverings! can they be any harder to decide on 2Jun 08, 2008 8:10 pm Bec, We have creme romans in our current house with white slats underneath.
Just looking at ours and trying to think what it would look like, I dont think it would look too bad. With the romans down obviously you'd be none-the-wiser and with them up I think I'd look pretty good, remember the black wont be 'black' with sun trying its hardest to shine through, it'll be somewhere between black and grey. I suppose the impact of wall colors, furniture etc would play a large part. Re: Window coverings! can they be any harder to decide on 6Jun 09, 2008 11:13 am Bec, because the Romans are hung above the window, that leaves the inside of the window reveal for the blinds. It’s a neat tidy look if done this way!
