Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 13, 2011 3:43 pm We had our initial Tender appointment with Eden Brae today. For a start, our sales guy has not told us everything and also had not relayed everything for our tender... plus wasted serious time for us... we initiated with Eden Brae early january and should have had our first appointment within 3 weeks of that timeframe.. for some reason our sales guy had forgot to hand in our paperwork in a timely manner... not good because we had to renegotiate the 6mth fixed price on the price of the home... which we did. But our main concern was how they lock you in. They have a package that includes driveways etc... and that price is fixed to a certain point. We were given pricing on estimates based on contour plans and surveys. We have less than 1/2 a metre fall on our block no batter up or down etc - see my blog for pics.. anyway they want to charge us for drop edge beams and to drop the garage down... fix the price so that even if not required we still pay... their clause though is that if extra piers are needed then Eden Brae Pay not us. but if we go with the other tender then its pay as required... Anyone else been in this situation... it just all does not make sense... Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
