I agree with your comments and definately will be emailing my CSA and SS today. Cheers.... TIMING OF BUILD 25Feb - Site Start 25Mar - Base Stage Complete 31Mar - Frame Completed 11Apr - Roof Tiles 20Apr - Brickwork Started Re: Porter Davis homes 1558Apr 11, 2011 8:42 am Chorlton snoofie Anyone else with Aluminium Windows.. I have a question... Did you notice rather large gaps in the window frames - particularly in the corners? The architraves have only just gone on and I am wondering how they fix this as it seems to be prevalent on all of the windows. Perhaps they fill the gaps with black silicone? (Our windows are black) I have a meeting with our SS next week so will ask him then, but the curiosity is getting the better of me.... Hi Snoofie, My windows should be going in this week so I'll try and take a look on site later this week to see whether mine have a similar gap. Out of interest, do you have any pictures showing the issue which I could use as a reference, when checking mine? Hi Chorlton I'll take some pics this week Re: Porter Davis homes 1559Apr 11, 2011 9:00 am snoofie Chorlton snoofie Anyone else with Aluminium Windows.. I have a question... Hi Chorlton I'll take some pics this week Hi Snoofie Are you refering to where the frames join together in the corners, cause we have the same problem with the architraves which werent quite flush - in our case they have been painted and not been siliconed.... point it out now and ask to see them once they have been filled before they are painted as our painters tried to fill the gaps with paint not silicon.... looks like cr*p..... The window was held together by the edge of the nail. Also, I don't think silicon can fill this gap! Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12345 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74717 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
