Ooooo.... yay me! This was taken around Week 18 of our build. We are currently at Week 23, I've been a bit slack and haven't uploaded the latest pics yet. We have 51 days to go. The internal plaster has now been hung, arcs, door frames and jambs are in, stairs are in and we are told that paint and cabinetry should be starting any day now. The brickwork for the garage is now also being done, so it will be great to see the house with the garage attached! Due to construction requirements they brick the main house first and then the garage. All in all the process to date has been exceptional, as is the quality of the build. It has been a bit of a rollercoaster lately, but thanks to a wonderful Consultant we have managed to iron out most issues we have had. My one advise is communication is the key. Oh, and don't sweat the small stuff. You may just have one or two people that you just don't "gel" with. To be expected. Don't be afraid to speak your mind, but be reasonable. It's hard not to be emotional with such a large investment in your life and this must also be taken into consideration by both parties. OK... so if you have any questions... fire away .... and happy building! Re: Building a Waldorf by Porter Davis 20Apr 08, 2011 8:15 am snoofie OK, let's see if this works.... Ooooo.... yay me!
