I reckon fiber will be a wait which is why they went with copper for now... I tink its good enuf..who knows, they might cancel NBN Co. when the federal Govenmt change hands in a few years time.. Re: williams landing 1366Apr 06, 2011 4:21 pm RE: Broadband in stage 6 well..here we go...Telstra has informed us (kind of) that ADSL is not available at our number and address. The best part is...they really can't tell us why!!! The technician said we can connect and they took our order in the first place...but now they don't know what the deal is. After 3 calls, I got through to someone helpful, who actually did some checking for us. He couldn't tell us what the issue was, and he was as surprise as we were that we were told that we can connect and now we can't. He suggested we wait until for the 2 weeks required for a new connection to go by...i.e. wait until someone goes to the exchange and check before we actually cancel our connection request So we wait.... Stage 6 - we've landed.. Re: williams landing 1368Apr 06, 2011 4:57 pm denny_mr been with dodo for adsl2+ about one year. connection is pretty good with minimal outage. That's the other part that confuses me...I'm assuming you're in an earlier stage...so if you can connect, why can't we? There might not be any ports available...but they weren't even able to tell us that... we'll just have to be patient I suppose... Stage 6 - we've landed.. Re: williams landing 1369Apr 08, 2011 6:46 am RE: Internet, we have been at Australis Drive (stage 2) for 13 months now and have had ADSL2+(telstra) for the most, i also know of a few others who have had no issues with being connected. Hope all is resolved soon, nothing worse than going without internet these days. Re: williams landing 1370Apr 08, 2011 11:25 am Re: Security system I am building in Stage 5. Shall I call the council or remove it myself? I'll appreciate any guidance. If your builder has to remove it they may charge you to remove it. If it is your neighbour contact their site supervisor and ask them to get rid of it.
