Re: Driveway & Concrete footing 4Apr 03, 2011 11:32 am Say what????????????? So I think the mesh is the least of your problems... but you must have a slab & footing 'detail' or how do you know the very beginning of your build is correct? Or are we just talking about a driveway? If so F(N)72 is fine unless you are going to be driving trucks with weight on them along the drive. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Driveway & Concrete footing 5Apr 03, 2011 11:41 am BTW mesh will NOT help or stop the concrete from cracking, it will hold it together though should/when it cracks. Re: Driveway & Concrete footing 9Apr 03, 2011 4:13 pm Yeh well I've been fishing... albeit in the back yard as there is a surf contest here ATM... so Trout will have to do. Never mind. Hey I don't make the rules I just do as we figure is best ok... Anyone can do what they please. BTW attached as in Mesh tied together, or guess what, nothing will hold it together. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Driveway & Concrete footing 11Apr 03, 2011 4:41 pm Where you are coming from is where you are going to... yep sounds good make the footing bigger to to allow for the pipe in the middle 3 7326 PM me your email. I have a build excavation calculator you can use based on your plans to double check what your builder is telling you. Cheers Simeon 1 10256 I've dug some footings to embed a post anchor into. My holes are around 450mm deep which I'll put a 200mm stirrup into. The bottom of these holes seem firm enough. … 0 3327 |
