Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 02, 2011 5:22 pm Hello All, We are new to this forum and first time new home owners, my brother and I are building a new home with Dennis family homes in Regional/rural Victoria, the house is comming along just nicely as we were there just the other day Has or is anyone here building in regional areas as we were just wondering is it compulsory for all new homes to have water tanks installed as there are few new homes in the estate that are almost complete but theres no water tanks, I was thinking of calling the council to see what there rules are. Im sure other things will pop up in our heads as we keep searching this forum for questions and answers Thanks Re: Water Tanks 2Apr 03, 2011 6:36 am I'm not sure what the current regs are but when we built in 2006 to get the 5 star rating we needed either a water tank or solar hot water.
