Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks 1 Apr 02, 2011 10:38 am Hi Everyone, I am looking for assistance please........ I have scoured this site for months and cant make a decision on my splashback. My Colours are Benchtop Alabaster -Infinity by Hafele overheads Moleskin all other cabinets OYSTER LINEA Kickers Brushed aluminium stainless steel appliances floor tiles are very light in colour almost white The problem that I have is the colour of the oyster linea varies so much from greys through to beiges and even can look like it has a pink undertone to it in the evening light. I was so distressed with it, I have had my husband install a skylight which has been great to lighten the room but not help me choose. I have looked at lots of tiles including glass, even bought some that I feel are too dark now so dont want to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated oh and by the way I live in Alice Springs no display centres or houses to visit! Im going crazy......finally got my cabinetry completed after 3 months so really need to finish this off. help..... Re: splash back to match oyster linea! 4Apr 02, 2011 12:42 pm Oh u poor thing I could never choose without the display, very tough!! My builder has used oyster liner in a display (we are using it in the bathrooms only so cant help with a splashback) but they have just used white see below http://www.dalealcock.com.au/New-Homes/ ... view/Build Building The Oceanic with Nautilus Upgrades by Dale Alcock Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=45433&p=687574#p687574 KEYS! 28.9.11 splash back to match oyster linea! 5Apr 02, 2011 9:36 pm I would try and match a colour to the benchtop. At least you know it will go with the Oyster Linea and you have a couple of colours already going on so probably don't need to bring in another one. Re: splash back to match oyster linea! 6Apr 02, 2011 10:10 pm I agree with Suh try to match the bench or select a tone in the oyster linear that you like the most and get a tile in a gloss. Size and shape depend on your personal preference. Hope you find 'that' tile, I know how you feel, my splasback has been un tilled for two years, now it's done I wish I just picked something ages ago. That's the problem when you're a designer...waiting for the perfect tile. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Sarah Re: splash back to match oyster linea! 7Apr 03, 2011 9:24 pm Thanks for the suggestions, will look into it, have also tried this without success. I may have found a tile that will work, its very close to the oyster linea, and with the white floor it may be ok. think i wait till it get the tiles delivered and lay a few out and see! wish me luck..
