Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Mar 31, 2011 7:39 am Realistically speaking how long would it take one person to spray paint (primer etc) a 200sqm house? (in hours or 7 hour days).
The person who will be doing the work is an experienced spray painter just not a very good estimator which is why I am asking for your opinion Re: How long does painting take? 2Mar 31, 2011 9:07 am we have a 242 sq met home and we had 2 of them spraying/ preparing/ covering doors, windows/ using a brush sometimes and a roller and it took 2 weeks...8 hr ish days and they worked non stop (not slackers ) bar the 2 days they had half days. it was the 2nd longest part of our build the first was plastering, that took over 2 weeks. but boy, have they done an excellent job. Re: How long does painting take? 3Mar 31, 2011 11:46 am Our house was just painted, 325sqm Saturday & Sunday 2 men masked/covered windows etc, sealed & finished ceilings and 1 coat on walls. Mon-Wed 3 men finished the house. House was sealed, ceiling sprayed and back rolled but they ended up rolling over them. 1 coat on walls sprayed 2 coats brush/rolled. I thought they got it finished pretty quickly Re: How long does painting take? 4Mar 31, 2011 11:50 am it all depends how bad is your plaster work... ours was utter rubbish - we are still sanding and patching areas we keep seeing at different times of the day. The prep work is a killer - re painting it all depends if they spray or roll. Still time consuming... In order to avoid masking so much?
