Why is the warrantee you offer 5 years? BTW with the demand on Bamboo and 600,000 workers farming it you can understand why some can be skeptical of the sustainablity claims and issues of land clearing to be replanted with Bamboo. I too care about the sustainability of the extractive industries associated with concrete... and is why we are using glass for example as an aggregate. But that is my barrow to push. Hello Artisan Seems like you are an expert in the bamboo flooring industry as well as the concrete industry! First of all we give a warranty of 10 years on the board itself and a 5 year on the installation, and these are my business warranty not the factory warranty. Regarding the board lasting 40+ years is more than correct and longer if look after, but given a warranty for this length of time is unrealistic. Would I be still around being 80 years old still running the business lol and laying the floors, I think not, giving a warranty for 10 years and 5 years is a lot more realistic given that we have been selling and laying bamboo for over 7 years. You think that bamboo is not more Eco-friendly and better for the environment than cutting down rain-forest for example. Have you ever been to china? There are millions and millions of acres of bamboo growing freely. So I guess we can say that bamboo is better than cutting down hardwood trees. What warranty do u give on you concrete? Re: Bamboo flooring - DIY? (Perth) 17Mar 24, 2011 9:29 am Hmmm definately no expert on Bamboo, thats why I asked the questions. Have I travelled yes... more than once our diamonds come from there after they have been dug up here. The warrantee that we offer is as solid as concrete. I don't think I made any comment to get you offside but thought a valid question or 2 might be good for business, awareness is all important specially since the invisible friend Google so readily gives answers. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4846 Re my second point – yes exactly. And often it may take additional time if the manufacturer recommends no more than X meters… 3 5728 |
