Values will skyrocket once the NW metro is under construction, Assuming it goes ahead of course! That said, we considered two areas when choosing where to live in Sydney - the NW growth sector and Berowra. I like my peace and quiet, hate the city and all my family is North of the city - and these areas are "affordable" nice areas. We went north-west because if the train line went in, the values will increase markedly and we were concerned about bushfires in Berowra. We have bought land right around the corner in a new suburb "The Ponds" which is right adjacent to Kellyville Ridge and so the new Rouse Hill including the new town centre. I absolutely love the area, my parents live in Rouse Hill and let me tell you value of homes in the area have indeed sky rocketed - and no doubt continue to - the area is definitely a good investment.
