It's amazing how many people find these forums! How did people build a home without the Internet 0_o

Hi All,
New to H1, although been following for a while. We have bought one of those blocks from the private developer and plan to build a PD Newtown 36+.
I can assure Lisanne that there will be no further trees taken down from the row that is currently there.
I'm just chomping at the bit to get the ball rolling on my build as soon as the land is released.

Good to hear about the trees! No idea how those rear blocks are going to get to their property still - will be interesting to watch.

Do you have a time of when you expect to have land settlement? I know some of us are looking forward to the reduction in construction noise ::smile::

I love it when they start the jackhammers at 7am each morning. (Even 6:30am some days the keen buggers!)
Though at least Sunday they don't do any work ::stop::

i just spent 22 minutes at a stand still queing up near woodland waters on plenty rd. traffic is down to one lane only as they are putting in new telephone poles by the looks of it. I fear it is only going to get worse and worse but!!

Last night there were 2 accidents on the way home.
Drops down to a standstill.

What is this E6 that I see signs up opposing?
May have to google that.

The E6 is the outer ring road they want to build to link melton & epping via the airport.

No doubt, going by the last 20 years in victorian infrastructure, it will go ahead and be one lane either way :lol:

Settlement has been pushed back a few times now, they've advised that it could be end of March but I'll believe that when I see it.

As for the blocks at the back there is another road in there that joins up like a T intersection.

There seem to be houses that face the trees looking at the map Lisanne posted awhile back.

With houses behind them that face onto the T road.

Those 2 blocks at the rear there will have a cross over from Giddons road. Sorry Lisanne thought you meant the other blocks on the other side which means there'll be more trees to come down at that end!

New "Sinners" shop being fitted out today........Sign up!!! At least we will have another option and by all accounts food very good. Only short walk for me so bring it on!

yuuummm Sinners…we get our pizza from Sinners from the Lakes for Soccer pizza nights…pretty good pizza's…and very very different to O Solo Mio…

Nearly got bogged the other night trying to get a sneak peak of how the road works are going at the end of Buttercross…land has been cleared of all grass and block has been pegged *jumps with joy* but found out settlement is now August not July…think they might play between the 2 months to be safe :S wish I was in now!!

Friends daughter has a job at Sinners and she said they will be opening in a few weeks! Think there will be alot of pizza and ribs going through this house!

It was meant to be

It looks like they are building up the layers of the road though now so maybe only a few more weeks (hopefully! I'm jack of the 3 times longer trip to the shops over there)

Also does anyone know if they are planning on putting speed humps down Mason's road? its already becoming hoon central because of the long straight road

I hope they don't, purely for the fact that I hate what it does to my car.
I'm not a hoon but I've just recently had my shocks replaced and I don't want to do it any time soon.

The road has been trashed now though. It has corrugations down most of it.
Not to mention the stray cows that seem to be getting out lately too.

oh, I've missed seeing the stray cows!! I don't go down Masons very often at the moment but I do hope they don't put in speed humps, they are noisy kathunk-kathunk
