So how was it TD ?

Bank is inspecting property tomorrow (Tuesday at 8:30am) Woohooooo...the pumps of the water tank was installed this morning, tilers will be back tomorrow to fix some tiles. So hopefully will pickup keys the keys this week

Thanks for your support guys - finally done PCI, and everything is either done or will be by Wednsday, with the exception of, you guessed it, the #*?&ing tiling!!!! The tilers need to come back to fix a few things, and then the epoxy grouting needs to be done - the tiler has just told me it's not his fault that the grouter's not been back and he's now re-booked him for 24th & 25th... I wouldn't like to be him if he's a no-show on Thursday!!!

So excited for you Vincy - finally keys this week!!! Hooray

btw - are you guys (meaning TD, sabs1 and Vincy) just doing PCI / walk through yourselves with SS or are you getting independent inspections (eg. Howard Ryan?).

we're just doing walk through ourselves. Howard did frame inspection, but we've been over everyday so feel we've been there every step of the way correcting any issues as they've arisen so didn't get another inspection - not sure about everyone else?
Can't wait to see the carpet in tomorrow (promise photos)!! Then window service & screens Wednesday, then I'm off work Thursday & Friday so plan to clean both days (while keeping an eye on the grouter) so that we're ready to move in the following weekend ... sadly can't have any days off to move that next week cos it's month end at work, so have booked the removalists for Saturday... it's really a long lesson in patience

Carpet went in Tuesday, and v.happy - suddenly feels ready to move in! We got flyscreens today, but 4 windows were missed so ss is going to follow up... tilers STILL not back on site - getting impatient!!!!!! I think our ss hates the tilers almost as much as i do ::angry::

oh, and new garage door has been ordered cos ours is broken... PLUS we have the wrong fitting on our handbasin in the loo under the stairs. At colours we were shown a neat hand basin with a lovely chrome pipe into the wall as "standard", we instead have a porta-loo looking white exposed plastic s-bend into the floor - classy - so beware - take photos of everything that you are shown as "standard" at colours - we've sent a photo to our colours lady saying that was what we were shown but not what we have... will it ever end?

ALMOST THERE, hang in! I cannot believe those tilers!! Its interesting on the different RULES that M have. I was told that under no circumstances will they put the carpets in before final payment has been received - which is difficult to arrange as we are moving in straight away, as we pick up the keys! The accounts lady, said, appliances and carpet the same day within 2 days after payment.. Would be much easier if they could go in today :roll:

Thanks T - thrilled to report the tilers have finally finished - I lost it BIG TIME on Thursday, in fact I don;t think I've ever let rip on anyone (excluding hubby) quite so nastily in my life... my neighbour who's also building with MH mentioned that the tiler even told him I'd lost it LOL... oh well at least they FINALLY got the message, phew.... Now all that's left is stacker track, last paint touch ups, 4 fly screens, and the last mirror which got delivered last week but they didn;t have enough man power to carry it up stairs with just 2 men (whimps)... and the removalists are booked for Saturday!

WHOOOO HOOO!!! Yay,yay, yay!! Good luck with the moving in and settling of the family. Post pics once all done. I love your tiles, they seriously look awesome - and dare I say ..worth all the dramas!
