Though given the stamford is a large single story it`s a good effort from the builder to get it done this quickly! Hope the counselling continues to give you peace. well done on the move back and all the best for 2011 Re: Our new Home...rebuild after fire,HANDOVER PHOTO'S 169Jan 23, 2011 11:33 pm Hi Stamford, glad to see you back online. Thanks for the pics I love the orange in your living area, love the bedroom colour as well, well done on picking the colours, looking fabulous. It takes time to settle into a new place, you think you move in and everything is ok straight away, but as we all now it takes time to settle in emotionally and physically under normal circumstances, but you have had it tough with losing your home, having a baby, hormones going crazy, new house to move into and get family settled. It will get better with time, the old saying "one step at a time". I too like Kiwi wish you well with the counselling and dont forget your online friends are thinking of you, and the great thing about H1 is you can always find one of us to talk to. Our house burned down in April (arson... didn't see that one coming!). It's taking such a long time to get things sorted out. It's very heartening to see how you all coped with your loss & your build - and with all the kids and pregnancy! Good on you! I hope you're getting used to being in your lovely new house. I know what you mean about missing your old stuff - it seems to get worse, rather than better. I've been websearching for ideas and this website keeps coming up with some fab recommendations - so I've now signed up & am inspired to share our story (you have been warned). OMG with the flooding, sometimes tradesman can leave something they think is minor and look at the mess it leaves you in, but glad they came out swiftly to rectify. I love this forum - it's nice for riverlucy to have read your story stamford and using it as an inspiration for her rebuild. It really is priceless to have everyone's support when building can be trying at the best of times. Good luck with the rest of the unpacking, I imagine my garage is going to look like yours for quite some time. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011.
