We did get caught out with a couple of things - we wanted drawers in our kitchen but didn't stipulate that first up. To add after meant the plans had to be redrawn. Same with a tiled shower base. We decided to ditch both these things (tears over my drawers) as we didn't want to wait any longer. Ours was also supposed to be plan only, but we insisted that they do colour selection, electricals, upgrades etc. before we sign off on the tender, to avoid any extra charges/ delays later on. My builder was very flexible and agreed to change their procedure to accommodate our request, so our tender included pretty much everything. One thing I got caught out on was that I wanted a matching sidelight beside the front door but when we went to selections the hall width wasn't wide enough and was too late to change it as frame had already been ordered. Had to end up with ordinary glass side light which could be made to narrower width. Might be something to be aware of. Hey. Head to a metal and decide on which profile you will use first.
