Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 21, 2011 12:00 am Hi! I seem to have a continuing dilemma on what tv cabinet to buy! I moved into my place about 6 months ago and keep tossing and turning on what style to have even though I have purchased furniture for the rest of my house already! Currently to date, I have a white 2.5 seater couch with chaise, white shaggy rug, dark chocolate/wenge coloured low rectangular coffee table, and my dining table is also a similar colour but in real wood. My floors in my unit is covered in merbau engineered planks (http://www.quick-step.com/australia/au/ ... 08191.aspx) and I guess like most people, I want my apartment modern and classic. I was originally set on getting the same coloured wood in a low line style tv cabinet, but now am tossing up between a style like: 1. wooden low line >> http://completepad.com.au/shopping3.asp ... t_id=10027 2. Black gloss >> http://www.beyondfurniture.com.au/item_ ... -GREY.html Advice Needed: 1. What does everyone here think?? 2. For a black glossy look, there appears to be a lack of entertaiment cabinets thats just simple and sleep (at a reasonable price). A lot of the glossy cabinets seem to add some sort of steel or plastic looking door over the middle (http://completepad.com.au/shopping3.asp ... ct_id=7028) which I do not want. Do people have suggestions on other furniture stores where i can find something nice at a reasonable price?? ANY help would be appreciated! Thanks! Re: TV Cabinet Help! 3Jan 22, 2011 8:32 am hi epc, before I vote, I need to know. Does the wood look one match the wood of your dining table exactly? if it doesn't, I am not sure I would be introducing a third wood (one being floors and one being dining table) into the area. I can't help with where to find a nice glossy one without the steel/glass insert, but I do like this one from your link. I haven't ordered from there, but there have been members on her that have over the years. http://www.buyster.com.au/Newton-Furnit ... Re: TV Cabinet Help! 7Feb 07, 2011 2:08 pm pace As you already have chocolate and white, with two (similar) shades of wood, I personally don't think it would be wise to introduce black into the mix. ^ I agree..... We will probably be going with one similar to yours but with top cabinets aswell. The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 13531 Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting.
