Our CLO emailed today to see if we could change PCI to Friday morning at 8.30am, so an extra sleep to wait We were supposed to get our final invoice and certificate of occupancy emailed today, it didnt come thru and was too late for me to chase up today, so hopefully will get it on Thursday and I can forward it to the bank. We are hoping for handover on Thursday 3rd Feb (that's if the bank co-operates) but I would think 1 week for them should be enough time. I love the tiles you have used around your bath etc. They add character without costing the earth!! Re: Our Retreat - New House Build 109Jan 26, 2011 10:35 am Tamara1975 Your house is looking great. I love the tiles you have used around your bath etc. They add character without costing the earth!! They didnt allow us to go the tile supplier and pick our own tiles, they had a selection in their colour studio and we could only select from their range. We didnt like any of their feature tiles, so opted for just plain white, we are getting dark brown shutters and already have the dark brown accessories, towels, etc, so hopefully it wont be too white when accessorized, and exactly as you said we didnt spend any extra on tiles so they didnt make any money off us for these. Just been down the path of selling our existing home, we went to view all the competition and the one thing that struck me was how colours/trends change so often and the bathrooms and kitchens look really dated even in newish homes, so as all the Real Estate people said to us, keep those rooms as neutral as possible the re-sell value is enormous, as these are the two rooms that cost the most to renovate if people dont like the colours etc. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. We are going charcoal for our bathrooms. It isn't everyones cup of tea but we love it. We are planning on being there for another 5 years or so. I am drawn to dark colours but are teaming the charcoal up with white throughout. Re: Our Retreat - PCI done 111Jan 28, 2011 7:06 pm Had our PCI done today, only a few minor issues with painting etc to fix up which will be done by next Tuesday. Certificate of Occupancy was issued and received our final invoice (which was nice it was less than we thought), so have sent it all off to the bank for final payment. Handover date is set for Thursday 3rd February, 2011. Forgot to take photos Lucerne as there was a new SS there, the SS we had for the build had left the Company and we didnt even know and a new SS appointed. We loved our old SS he was fantastic and a really nice guy, so we didnt even get a chance to thank him and give him a gift for a hassel free build. Our new SS seems nice as well, but just starting the Supervisory role was previously a plumber. so I think it was a lot to take in doing his first PCI, the Regional supervisor was there as well to help run him thru the process. So going thru with 4 people and the Regional Supervisor pointing things out constantly to show the SS what to check I forgot to take photo's, but never fear I have left an opening and I shall return with photo's very soon Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Front Door with handle http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2143.jpg WIR - What a mess, the company who installed the WIR did a single rail and shelf lower than where we wanted, it supposed to be double rail with the shelf at 2000 high, which they have finally got right, but had to rip out the incorrect shelf/rails and as you can see the shelves are glued to the wall and when it was removed it ripped off all the plaster. Plasterer supposed to be coming out Monday to fix plaster and then a repaint http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2144.jpg Pantry fitted out http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2143.jpg Bathrooms with glass shelves and soap dishes installed. http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2145.jpg http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2141.jpg Laundry & Kitchens Taps http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2140.jpg http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... at2138.jpg Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. I have just cleaned my oven this morning and have packed all that we can. Now just waiting for bank to make final payment and pick up keys. It does look good clean, we had the caulking guy come in after it was cleaned and he left his muddy footprints everywhere including the bath, so a cleaner will be back to go over again. Our flooring and carpet will be installed Tuesday 7th Feb, so I am sure once that goes down it will look entirely different again, i was hoping to have some time to get feature walls painted before we move, but we dont have any time, so will do that when we move. Good luck for your PCI. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011.
