Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 16, 2011 9:41 pm Hi We have just bought a "new" old house (1980s). It has the most revolting garden (bits and pieces that are half dead.) Around the pool we are a small brick path (60cm wide) with 3 palms, 3 pine trees and a huge lovely gum tree. There are also lots of other bits and pieces in garden beds that I dont know the name of and are nice and spiky. I had planned to do the garden over winter/ spring, however after an incident today, I need to bring these plans forward. I think I can come up with ideas on how to do the garden around the pool, however I need someone to do the shear brute labour. (Lots of sandy soil to dig away, trees to remove and pool equipment to be be built in and made safe.) Can anyone recommend any companies in Perth that will provide such labour? I know its a stupid time of the year to try and replant (37degrees plus) but after an evening in A&E I kind of think its worth it. I need to redo all the pool equipment and neighbour fences, so I might as well do the whole lot, given its current design. Thanks in advance F. When we were renovating our gardens before we sold we found a great person who did gardens through the community newspaper. We needed a seriously over grown raised garden bed dug out ( it was smothered in buffalo runners and several other areas sorted. We did the easier stuff and he did the harder work. Garden makeovers. He was actually very reasonably priced. Sorry I don't have his name now as it was 4 years ago.
