Businesses are getting rid of things like this all the time. I got enough to make 10 bays worth for ~$100 Unfortunately they were the narrowest ones at only 30 cm, but the ammount i got makes up for that. We've got some wardrobe shelving that wasn't used in the house and I wanted to get some brackets on the wall. But how do you attach them to the wall? Maybe some vertical risers (flat steel maybe?) screwed to the horizontal purlins and then the shelf brackets screwed to that? I'm just not sure how much load the purlins will take before bending.
