Our Demo is 95% completed as of last night, just need them to return and finish up the site clean. CSC has sent our file to the Building team, council paperwork finance and all required paperwork has been received and processed by PD. Just need to wait for site start, now officially on track for Jan site start. Had good news about our driveway crossover too, David from the council has advised we can move our driveway so that it will be in line with the garage The "amenity value" of the tree has turned out to be less than 2K so it's all systems go!! bring on January. I was excited to come across the build of fellow HomeOne member, Wizard, who has recently moved into his new home! To celebrate the big move we have done a feature article on his home on the Porter Davis blog. He has offered some great insights into his home building journey and decorating inspirations. Please come and check it out here: http://blog.porterdavis.com.au/index.ph ... ground-up/ Cheers, Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions? My CSC told me PD can't apply for building permit until the 2nd soil test is done, that is after the house is demolished! Does anyone knows the exact procedures? Well, my CSC did mentioned that she's new in PD. I am a bit panic now... George's A quick pre-Christmas update. Since writting this and discussing with the construction manager and supervisor, we have had just about every single thing we found to be a defect, fixed! Yes this meant having the tiler, painter, brick cleaner, bi fold door rep, carpet layer, fly screen manufacturer, site supervisor, dishwasher repairer, bricklayer, all coming in and out but hey! They did it, and i can say that we are now extremely happy with our house and are very glad to have built with Porter Davis. I will mention the fact that according to our site supervisor, he was under the impression from a few of the trades that alot of the issues had been rectified prior to handover, when in fact they hadn't. I have heard some stories about other people building with other builders who have simply never gotten back and fixed anything... Porter Davis was actually surprised that these issues hadnt been resolved prior to hand over and litterally jumped onto fixing them! So thanks guys who helped (you know who you are) have a great Christmas. Hi octopus, I'm very glad to hear that the repairs have been sorted! Thank you for your communication and patience along the way. I hope you had a great Christmas break and have a happy New Year Cheers, Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions?
