Put them next to every TV point in my house. I take it a step further and put a TV point in my study as well. If you have a single story house and don't want to install cable just yet. Try and drill holes in the frame, if your builder will let you and put bits of rope down the wall. Tie the top of the rope to a bit of wood in the roof. That way someone can easily run cables once your house is built. If you organise for a phone point to be put at your patch panel (where all of your data points terminate), you can then put your internet router in the patch panel. Or you could then make any of your data points and phone points. Re: Should I get an internet connection point at the tv 16Dec 20, 2010 12:39 pm Why do you need more than one ethernet point per location. I would have thought that one point with an ethernet hub would be sufficient, it is not likely that you would be streaming more than one lot of information to your TV or Surround System so you shouldn't need a better link. I am only saying this because my heart sank when I saw people talking about putting in four points, whereas my new house will only have two, then I had the light bulb moment of adding a hub in with the entertainment unit system. Please let me know immediately if I am being an idiot.
