Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 81Dec 07, 2010 2:30 pm I'm sorry to hear you're not well alanamareeSmum! I hope your whole family (inluding tummy one) stay well. I didn't end up pursuing the Xmas meet thing as there was not much interest so I guess understandably that everyone is getting very busy. Perhaps we can arrange a meet up in the New Year. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 82Dec 10, 2010 7:17 am Found this recently - thought it was quite interesting! Prepared by myrpdata.com 26 Hadley Cct $391,000 - Normal Sale 04/11/10 10 Eaglewood Gdn $390,000 - Normal Sale 03/08/10 14 Eaglewood Gdn $387,000 - Normal Sale 15/07/10 40 Hadley Cct $375,000 - Normal Sale 08/07/10 28 Hadley Cct $370,000 - Normal Sale 10/06/10 Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 83Dec 10, 2010 7:26 am Are those blocks smaller or the same as the The Parkway lots (625sqm)? If it's the same then they are selling it cheaper these days Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 84Dec 10, 2010 7:55 am Noooooo....those are only 450's. Yours is worth a fair bit more due to your wide frontage and of course size - 635 is consider massive these days We paid less than some of those blocks 12 months ago for a 600m2. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 85Dec 10, 2010 11:23 am Hi everyone! We have a good news to share: our DA is officially approved! What a relief! For those of you building with Metricon, how long did it take to get the final drawing done, reviewed and the getting construction certificate? alanamareeSmum and Aussie_chik, I reckon the lots on The Parkway would sell over $500k by now. DKP Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 86Dec 10, 2010 11:36 am That's good news indeed! I'm so happy for you DKP! Final drawings and construction certificate: do you guys have to redraw the plans based on the conditions of the council approval? I thought it's the same for every applicant? Cause in our case, they came back with the condition, then EB had to redraw the plans then council approved it and stamped it and sent back to EB together with with the construction certificate.. So when you said approved it should include the construction certificate already.... Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 87Dec 10, 2010 4:15 pm We have our DA approved, with conditions. My understanding is that we still need to have plans redrawn to include the conditions (plus other corrections or changes we requested). Then the plans can be certified (construction certificate). For the construction certificate I think Metricon goes to an accredited certifier, so council won't be involved. DKP Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 88Dec 10, 2010 4:21 pm Hi DKP We received our DA on Sept 9th and excavation started on Nov 3rd. Our bank held us up for a few weeks though. During this time we had to sign off on the final drawings (which took 2 goes) and the commencement letter. Glad to hear you've got your DA now - hope all goes well. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 89Dec 12, 2010 3:25 pm Hi DKP in our case EB amended the plans with the conditions, sent back to council for stamping and certifying too... they sent it back to EB stamped and with certification... So this time you have to push metricon to redraw faster and resent to council for stamping.. All the best! Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 90Dec 12, 2010 3:27 pm Hmmm I wonder why he name 'metricon' has turned into *** lol Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 91Dec 21, 2010 2:03 am Hi Dkp, Good to hear that your DA has been approved ... finally!! Our construction cert was issued by council, initially I thought it would have to go through an accredited certifier according to my understanding and according to our CSC's ... I am still puzzled. We have finally got the construction drawings finalised and bank's letter to commence construction, but now that the industry will be shut down for 5 weeks holidays, don't think any work will commence any sooner. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 92Dec 21, 2010 6:44 am Congrats Mars! Relax and Enjoy the next 5 weeks cause after that you're in for some stress - Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? [Digital TV Signal] 93Jan 27, 2011 9:35 pm Hello fellow Beaumont Risers, We finally upgraded our TV gear to the digital age. Were we currently leave we have an excellent signal. I was checking the DigitalTV website http://www.digitalready.gov.au for signal quality in Beaumont Hills. This is what it says: "This is a moderate coverage area. You may have difficulties receiving some or all digital channels." Has anyone already moved in at Beaumont Rise? If so do you have any problem with digital TV? A part from that we are to start building very soon, yeah! We got our construction certificate and our final drawings are being corrected for some minor discrepancies. The house may even have already been pegged out at this time! DKP. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 94Feb 03, 2011 12:48 pm Hi everyone! The admin phase of our build is officially completed today, as we just signed off our final constructions drawings! We should see real action now in the next few days (at least within 20 business days). How is everyone else build progressing? DKP Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 95Feb 03, 2011 3:42 pm Hi DKP Congrats on getting your final approvals, hope things start to swing into action for you soon. If anybody else out there wants to post their updates I'll happily ammend the front page. After a very slow bricking process we are almost complete - just the balcony to be finished now. Next week it's brick wash and fascia and gutters. There are so many M's on the estate right now I think we're all competing for the one supervisors attention!!! Lets hope all the tradies don't disappear off up to Queensland (bless them) too soon. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 96Mar 14, 2011 1:05 pm hi everyone.. long time no post.. it's been a very lazy few months for me.. anyway, we are moving in to our new home on the 19th of march.. that's this saturday.. i hope to see other neighbours move in pretty soon too.. alanamareeSmum Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 97Mar 29, 2011 9:48 pm so i received a call from DL today advising that our selected main floor tiles / size have been discontinued we now have to cancel our prior commitment for Saturday morning and go to DL shoroom instead and choose another tiles. NOT HAPPY. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 98Jun 24, 2011 4:06 pm Hello all. This thread's been dead for a while now. So thought I'd post some update on our build. The house is practically completed. So I spoke to our SS to see how the bank's final valuation / inspection went. SS goes, it's done & dusted. Valuer came in the house for 2 minutes took few photos here and there and went and that's it. Is that normal? Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 99Jun 24, 2011 5:22 pm I wouldn't be at all surpirsed by that! I have heard other stories of banks that just do a drive by. Lucky for you there were no dramas. So how is everyone else going? I know there a few who have already been in for a while now. Our update: Fingers crossed we'll be finished next week, then it's certification and bank approval, then we do our own floors and then we're in. Hopefully just a few more weeks now - seems like an eternity. Re: Building in Beaumont Rise? 100Jun 27, 2011 4:10 pm Hi everyone! We are probably about one and half to two months till finish. We just had our cabinetry installed and tiling started. I saw lots in Stage 4 are now advertised. I wonder how much these sell for. DKP Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11828 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21618 |
