Well we are ahead of schedule and the house is almost finish if it wasn't for D'ilor>> they put the wrong feature tiles in the bathroom. But we are looking at the end of January for handover as the site supervisor told us that this year they are only taking 2 week christmas holiday so are hand over would be brought foward. Well we couldn't make it to the X'mas party on sunday but we will come past one of these days to say hello as we are driving past there. Take care. Rod & Jenn. With regards to DiL*** they are rude and don't return calls, hopefully the will change suppliers as they are so incompetent at there work. how did you go with pedro as we got quoted a joke with another company. My question is do these people think we are sh**** money or what? Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 124Dec 09, 2010 1:42 pm Pedro hopefully starting our fence this week, he was waiting for ground to dry. Tried ringing him b4 but no answer. Not puting air con motor in until fence up, hot water unit behind us got nicked day after handover last week!! can't be too careful. Will let you know how go with fence slab poured 28/6/10 Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 125Dec 10, 2010 9:21 am Hey Guys, Sorry to hear about the Hot Water but the problem is with so many tradies around you can't really tell if someone is stealing or not. We usually go past our house just after dark especially this whole week that they were laying the tiles again in bathroom and the house to make sure that everything is still there. Did you guys have a previous inspection of the house before handover? I had to demand one as they told me it wasn't necessary but then i said if it wasn't for me they would have laid the wrong tiles through the house and im the one paying, then i was told i had 3 months to pick defects once we move in well HELLO do they really think i want tradies working in the house while we are living there just because they said so. Sorry i had to vent, but i guess if you don't put your foot down nothing gets done properly. See you soon. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 127Jan 08, 2011 2:58 pm Hi all, We will be putting down deposit to the sale office next week for the land on parkbridge. We were searching around houses design which one we like. Finally, we found Cambridge from Mirvac that we really love. But today the sale guy told us we may not be able to use that plan as our land in the concor and if we avoid encasement then we won't be able to meet the requirement of the backyard setback. Do anyone know how many meter we need for the setback front and back? Thankyou very much if there are any reply. Cheers' Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 129Jan 22, 2011 10:23 pm Hi there everyone bit quiet here, well Mark from E shutters is giving everyone a good price on shutters so keep the contacts going so everyone can take advantage of these discounts 3 people have gone with them and have received good prices. His contacts are on page 5 so good luck and keep us informed, we are ready to move in as our handover is for the 18 of Feb. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 131Feb 17, 2011 7:25 pm Hi Folks, Sorry, its been a while. We have settled in really well and are enjoying the parkbridge life. Happy with Mirvac, no problems. I see you guys are looking good to... are you in? We have done a deck in backyard but not grass etc. Got to save a bit more.... we will get there. slab poured 28/6/10 Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 132Feb 24, 2011 9:48 am Hi guys yes we are finally in and enjoying every second of it the house is great but have had a few issues that Mirvac is looking into they have been really helpful but definately thinking of taking legal action against DiLorenzo as they stuffed up the tiling put in th wrong one and when they change it they chipped others tiles around and tried to cover them up for the inspection. But all in all very happy. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 133Apr 23, 2011 8:35 pm hey guys Its been awhile... we are currently building on Truscott ave , everything is moving so quick , we will be in our house in 2 months . looking foward to joining the community @ Parkbridge. I was reading on the forum about water heaters and a/c units getting stolen after handover, is this true??? Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 134May 05, 2011 12:39 pm It happened before but now as the area is getting populated pretty quick and neighbours are pretty good at keeping an eye might be a bit hard for someone to walk out with a water system or solar panel . Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 135Oct 05, 2011 12:20 am Hi, We are thinking of purchasing a land in Parkbridge and building with Mirvac. Our major concern is the lender valuation once the home is built. We're concerned that the valuation would be lower than selling price coz we are on a 95% LVR. We are currently looking at NAB but have read in forums that their valuation is usually lower once construction is finished. Have any of you experienced getting a lower valuation? Would you mind sharing your bank/lender so we could have a chat with them regarding the loan? Thanks! Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 136Oct 09, 2011 7:25 pm Hi Lemonzest, We are going to build in parkbridge too. And with NAB as my broker pick that bank for us. We are waiting for council approve before we can lodge the full application in our land loan is with NAB so my broker said it won't be too hard for us to get the loan. I am sorry I am not give you too much information as we let our broker do all the work we just provide whatever detail she asking for. But parkbridge is a really nice place for a family or young couple. We have 2 young kids and we love the feeling of the estate is safe and peaceful. Hope that we can be neightbour later Re: Building With Mirvac @ Middleton Grange? 139Mar 25, 2012 10:36 pm That is great. Are you still enjoy living there? Our build finally started a month ago ( 11 months after we exchanged our land) Can't wait to move in. How long did your house take to build Jenn&Rod? No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 22393 No, not yet. It’s currently being assessed by our building surveyor 4 19626 With that sort of soil type if you ask for a design to include piers then I would also include void formers. That way you should reduce the chances of settlement and heave. 7 20105 |
