What a lovely way to welcome friends and family into your home You've just reminded me we still need to put our peep hole in! People ring our door bell, then step back so I cant see them on the monitor Bring on the next room Thanks A and E - loving your deck, chook pen and library too! I love peepers - you know sometimes its good not to have to answer the door if you don't want to! Over the next couple of weeks I should be able to post some more - this house building thing takes up so much time! I couldn’t resist – I just love pink! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_HM9cSrqmlCE/TRKL6JVzllI/AAAAAAAAAbE/gvx9_NbT4sc/s1600/3041255352_3ecd5c3805.jpg Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and Spectacular New Year! What a year this has been for us – sold a property – built one – now making it our home! If you would have asked me in December 2009 if I thought we would put our last place on the market I would have said “you were dreaming”. Oh well I guess that is life – full of twists and turns. I can’t believe we have had over 8000 hits to the blog and along the way made some great “bloggy friends” and have been inspired with everyone else’s blogs/forums and lovely comments! Brett and I have the next 2 weeks off to try to get everything finished. The Brisbane City Council http://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/ says you can take them back to depot’s or take them to the dump – but what a waste. Today at work (getting the office back together after the flood) we all decided to take some sandbags home and use them on our lawns. Clearly the sandbags can’t be water damaged – if the floods touched them (get rid of them – too much bacteria). I found this article on using sand as a top dressing for your lawn. http://thelawnguide.com.au/lawn-care/lawn-repair/23-lawn-repair/122-top-dressing.html Brett used the sand today on the back lawn to level it out – looks pretty good…. and free (not to mention good recycling)! Just caught up on your blog. Your home is looking awesome! I have a quick question for you...I would have posted on your blog, but couldn't work out how! I have been looking to buy the locker from Ikea and just saw that you have one and are using it as a TV cabinet. I was wanting to use it as a buffet to store serving platters and wine glasses etc, but I haven't had a chance to head to Ikea to check it out. Is the locker big enough to use as a buffet? Does it have shelving inside? How many shelves?
