The whisper white sounds perfect, but... do you have one in Taubmans? Or can I just ask for whisper white and they'll make it?
We have Antique White USA in our unit with China White trims; I really like it but for the new house I want something even whiter. I think we'll either do trims in China White again, or just match the trims and roof to the wall colour, is that just too crazy boring? We'll have wood floors of some type, probably blackbutt. Sorry for the piggyback oznow! Oh and Michelle, yeah I don't remember the ad but I know what you're talking about!! Re: Help to choose colour for the internal walls and doors 7May 09, 2008 9:10 am Hi Rachelle, you may not find the Whisper White for you if you are looking for a white…I’ll have another look later on for you.
I hate to say….but there really is only one white!!! And that’s WHITE! Paula……my A4 colour swatch of Whisper White, was NOWAY that colour even at full strength! Just packed them all into my car I have 2 jobs on today…but I’ll be sure to look at it again later. I put it up next to a pure white last night, and it was only slightly off white, with yes with a HINT of mustard in it. Ask the people who you bought the house off to leave all paint tins in the garage so you know they are. I think the key for me is to have the ceiling painted white so that it doesn't show that the walls are not pure white in comparison.
What?!?! Only one white? Noooo Re: Help to choose colour for the internal walls and doors 9May 09, 2008 10:25 am Michelle Ask the people who you bought the house off to leave all paint tins in the garage so you know they are. Have already asked. Guess what? I looked at my notes its feather white 1 1/2 strenght I have!! Paula Re: Help to choose colour for the internal walls and doors 11May 10, 2008 11:00 am Hi Rachelle,
We have used China White for both walls & ceiling & until you hold something that is pure white against it you don't realise that there is quite of bit of tint to it. Really happy with it. The photo's people have posted with a darker wall (like hogs bristle) looks good with the white ceiling & trim. Jo Okay, then the choice is really about the build quality of the door itself which means the brand name. Sorry I can't recommend one or the other so best to rely on comments… 5 3296 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 7969 Thanks. Yeh ideally that would have been good, but have progressed too far now. Hoping some well placed internal walls fixed up into the battens will provide some… 2 5440 |
