Tradesman was there doing all the waterproofing of wet areas. The carpenters were there earlier before the power was turned off, have hung a few doors, window frames, skirting and wardrobe doors - apparently back tomorrow to finish off. Then it's bring on the tilers. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Finally had a chance to go thru your entire thread as well. Love all the colours you have chosen, particularly like your feature/border tile. I know what you mean if you had of been on H1 for months before you actually do your own colours I think I might have changed as well - I would have loved to do your border tile thing in my bathrooms as I didnt like any the builder had and just went with plain white I'm starting to dread seeing the tiling done but I plan to put in dark brown shutters and have already bought choc brown towels and soap dispensers etc. So like everyone says we have to wait until everything is in and then we can go coulda shoulda!!!! It's always a juggle no matter what you do e.g selling, renting etc. and stressful. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. So now we are getting an independant inspector to check it out for us. Disappointing as we were their greatest walking talking advertisement and have recommended them to family and friends, so will see what happens after our independant inspection. I also have a landscaper coming out to give us a quote for the retaining walls required. This is the dead side of the house which will need a retaining wall the entire length and pits for water. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Painters are moving in this week, they do painting before tiling!!! which we thought was weird but anyway will be good to get it painted as I can then get my carpet and flooring samples to make a decision on colours. (that is if we have any money left after the retaining wall) Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Our painters started before tilers as well Re: Our Retreat - Panters in 74Nov 24, 2010 12:44 pm Painters are in, doing all the prep work today, we asked how long it will take to paint and they replied about a week. Downpipes put in yesterday and noticed the cutouts for the power points etc have been done. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Have the Build Inspector checking things out for us, just waiting on a call back from him, so fingers crossed it's in our favour, or else we'll have a big expense we didnt expect. This landscaper is really busy so hopefully he will come out Friday. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011.
