We asked and consider the sales person either deceptive or she didn't know!! We hate the stuff, wait until you do something in the ceiling and have to crawl around it. Fire issue concerned us too but all downlights are encased with a metal cover. You will note I am building.....PD is our sons house in which we assisted him through the contract and build in his absence. Certainly made 100% sure of batts with our builder. I was confused about your blog on your signature. I hope I don't get blow in. I am going to confirm with my CSR Building with Porter Davis blog: pdforestdale29.blogspot.com Site Start Date: 1/10/2010 Slab: 14/10/2010 Frame: 11/11/2010 Bricking Started 24/01/2011 Re: Porter Davis homes 540Nov 16, 2010 8:19 pm My partner and i were building with Porter davis and we just got the house after 3 weeks late. As per the contract, they have to pay $250 per week. However, they have refused to pay because of the brick issues. As far as we read on HIA contract, there is nothing to say they are not liable to pay if they have a brick issue. They havent advised what kind of brick issue. they just advised that the house was delayed because of bad plastering job by their contractor as per what they advised us. We have to pay rent for another month because of they couldnt get their job done . There is still some outstanding tasks that are yet to be completed from the handover. Can anyone advise whether they are liable for the delay? Thanks Wow that is terrible about the insurance! I guess ideally proof of insurance should be provided prior to first deposit but I'd imagine they would refuse to be out of… 17 14222 There isn't any need to.
