I really feel your pain. Have you thought about contacting Jess (TeamPD) and letting her know your concerns so she can take it up with the maintenance department? I haven't been on this site for a while so I don't know who Jess is, but thanks for the suggestion rellie Unlike the 3 month maintenance where PD contact you, it is my understanding that with the 12 month maintenance inspection you need to contact PD to organise it. If this is the case, then it would have been nice if it had been brought to our attention by PD at some stage. Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Re: No 12 mths maintenance inspection with PD? 6Oct 30, 2010 1:22 pm Yep Rellie is right, PD contact you for your 3 month check and it is your job to schedule one for your 12 month one. It is written in the contract thing somewhere I think, but I only knew about it because our maintenance guy reminded me at the 3 month inspection My karma ran over your dogma Re: No 12 mths maintenance inspection with PD? 7Oct 30, 2010 2:28 pm We need to contact my builder for the 3 month inspection... i forgot about that so it never got done i hope we can somehow get our issues sorted, it's very frustrating. Built with New Generation (Summit Homes) We own land!... with a slab on it! Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! Re: No 12 mths maintenance inspection with PD? 8Oct 30, 2010 5:13 pm It's definitely in the contract, and the maintenance person who organised your 3-month inspection should have reminded you that it's up to you to organise the 12-month inspection. I rang them about 4 weeks prior to our handover anniversary. I was told they allow a little leeway (it might be up to 3 months, not sure ), but you'd better not muck around getting in touch with them or you might miss out. Re: No 12 mths maintenance inspection with PD? 9Oct 30, 2010 9:48 pm Yep its all written in the new home folder that you should have been given at handover that you contact them. So ring them now Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: No 12 mths maintenance inspection with PD? 10Nov 01, 2010 4:53 pm Hels We have been in our PD prestige Illoura home for 15 mths now and no one has bothered to contact us about having a 12 mths maintenance inspection. Has this happened to anyone else? Does it mean we aren't going to get it done or are they just slack? We still have issues from PCI that never got fixed and I have left the sticky labels on the walls (just to make a point lol) where paint touch-ups etc need to be done. We still have vanity basins that don't drain properly and no one has ever bothered looking into the matter further And the carpet in the rumpus room had paint spills on it, so they sent a carpet cleaning company out to fix it but that just resulted in the pile getting spoilt (as it's a sisal). No one bothered to check if I was happy with the job. Well no I'm not and I would still like the carpet in that room to be replaced. I was waiting for the 12 mths maintenance to bring up these issues again but now I am just thinking about writing in a letter of complaint. Hi Hels, I am sorry to hear that you have not been contacted to organise a 12 month inspection. Have you contacted your New Home Care Coordinator about this? If you have any trouble contacting them then you can send me a Private Message with your Name, Address and Phone number and I'll do my best to help you out. Cheers, Jess. I didn't see the point as they never finished all work they were supposed to after my 3 month inspection. Funny that they promise to have these things done after you move in and even give you a signed list but when it comes down to it they seem to feel they have no obligation to finish the work. Its a real take the money and run mentality. I had some plaster repairs done that took 3 attempts at me staying home waiting for tradesmen to show and then when they finally did the work and I went through all this inconvenience it all ended up cracking or popping again after a couple more months. I tried ringing but they either don't answer the phone or take a message and then never call back. I decided that it was better to have things repaired myself and have the peace of mind that PD are but a distant memory and that I no longer have to put up with their incompetance. I recommend it as life is far too short to suffer any more of the PD experience. Re: No 12 mths maintenance inspection with PD? 12Nov 03, 2010 11:15 am Well this is clearly something I missed along the way, or forgot I will make up a list of all the things to be done and give maintenance a call.
