We upgraded the underlay so hopefully this will decrease sound carrying from upstairs and increase the life of the carpet. I'm thinking of investing in one of those small portable vacuum cleaners so I don't have to lug out the big one every time there are crumbs on the carpet. Ash, do you know if they are effective??
